
For too long, we have considered that schools offer education as a service rather than product. The trend is changing with the need of marketing in the field of education. Educational institutions and schools are no longer functioning in the traditional ways, as schools are coming up with differentiating factors to hold their thrust in the industry. Thinking of the nation’s most popular brands, why have they succeeded in capturing the crowd while others have failed? Brilliant brands stand for something in the mind of consumer. Likewise schools have to brilliantly brand themselves to compete and hit the odds despite the risk factors associated.
Any kind of effective marketing cannot happen on its own; they are indirectly dependent on the way the organization is managed financially and strategically. Other than quality education, consistent student achievement, reputation of the superintendent that the schools maintain, there is an immense need for Marketing of schools which most of the schools call it "Unnecessary for schools" . For any product or service to flourish , the stereotypes have to be removed. When you wear glasses and view things , it looks bigger than the normal size. Come out of the stereotype thinking and try things that would be different .
The bottom line is the schools desperately should know that, the concept of the education field rests on the success or failure of the Management of schools "efficiently" in quotes ;-).More to come....
